As the festive season nears, we can't wait to get started working with you to showcase Bognor Regis as a great destination for Christmas. Let's let everyone know about the warm festive welcome they can expect to receive.
A massive thank you to those businesses that attended the BID’s Christmas planning workshop in June – this is where the key concept of the “Warm Welcome” campaign stemmed from, and it’s brilliant to be launching it this Christmas.
What’s the BID doing this Christmas?
There’s been quite a challenge to the BID’s budget this year, which means we’re really focusing on promoting the town and its businesses this Christmas. We’ve already supported the ice rink with their event admin to help ensure this popular attraction stays in Bognor Regis, and we’re making a contribution to the Town Council to enhance their fabulous lights switch on event, with plenty of festivities and installations taking place in and around the town. Through the BID’s Love Bognor Regis platform, we’ll once again be collating and showcasing everyone’s festive offer this Christmas - highlighting everything to see and do and showing what a great town Bognor Regis is to experience the festive season.
BR BID at Christmas: Activity Overview and Key dates:
1. Promoting businesses: We are launching 'A Warm Welcome at Christmas', a special campaign to celebrate and promote the local business community. This campaign will be featured on a dedicated Christmas page on Love Bognor Regis, as well as through extensive social media promotion running from 25th November to 23rd December.

Deadline for all Christmas sign ups: Monday 13th November 2023 (by 11pm).
2. BRTC Christmas Lights Switch On Event: BRTC’s fabulous Christmas lights will be switched on on Saturday 25th November 2023. The BID is delighted to be working with BRTC to enhance their event and increase footfall and dwell time across the BID Area.
3. Promoting individual business’s events for Lights Switch On: Last year there was a great response from businesses really celebrating the Lights Switch On event and benefitting from the extra footfall! Let us know your “Switch On” event plans for the 25th of November this year, and we’ll help you reach a wider audience through promotion on Love Bognor Regis.

Christmas Window Displays: There’s no formal competition this year, but we’ll promote businesses sharing images of their window display through BID and Love Bognor Regis social media channels. Want to take part? Tag us in to your social posts or send us pictures by emailing info@brbid.org and we’ll be delighted to share. 5. Late night opening suggestion: We know that late night opening isn't always feasible, but if you're open to staying open for a little bit later than usual, then Saturday 25th November is a great choice to benefit from the extra footfall coming in for the Lights Switch On event.
