You can now apply for the National Restriction Grant for your business.
The following information has now been sent out via the Arun Business Partnership mailing list. I've replicated their exact text, but here are a few observations:
When you follow the link, you'll be taken to the Covid Business Support page on ADC's website.
Scroll down to the section titled "Financial Support for Businesses" where you'll see details of: eligibility, timings and grant payment levels and criteria
You'll also find the link to the online grant application portal
There are two types of grants available - one for businesses that operate from premises that have Rateable Values, and one for businesses that don't. Applications for either of the grants are made through the same online portal.
IMPORTANT: This grant application process is quite different to the grants awarded during the first lockdown. This time you must apply for the grants, and you can ONLY apply for these grants online through the portal - no other form of application will be considered. As you go through the online application, you may be asked to upload documents.
If this type of application is going to be a real problem, please get in touch and we'll work out a way for the BID Team to help you access the IT you need to submit your application
The information about grants is all coming from ADC. If you didn't receive the email directly from the Arun Business Partnership last night, you might want to sign up for their newsletters so you get the information immediately it's announced; email business@arun.gov.uk and ask for your details to be added.
Business in the Arun district who were mandated to close or those whose business has been affected by National Restrictions can now apply for Grants.
Those business who have premises and are responsible for the business rates should apply for the Local Restrictions Support Grant.

If you do not pay business rates, work from home or are in premises where the business rates are part of your rent, you should apply for the Additional Restrictions Grant.
